Students should have completed some graduate level biochemistry, physiology and nutrition coursework. Permission of instructor required.
Learning Outcomes1Know several resources for research related to lipids including websites, professional organizations, journals, books and companies.
2Name and classify lipids appropriately according to recommendations from LIPIDMAPs.
3Describe different methods for detecting and analyzing a wide variety of lipids.
