Fall 2026 Lecture Distance Learning Lower DivisionBehavioral/Social SciencesThis course offers a comprehensive introduction to the study of international political economy, exploring the interactions between politics and economics on a global scale. Students will be introduced to key theories, institutions, actors, and issues that shape the global economy and the relationship among nations. No background knowledge of political science or economics is required.
Learning Outcomes1Identify key economic theories that underpin contemporary policy debates at the domestic and international level and compare how they explain the relationships among countries.
