Fall 2026 Lecture Laboratory Lower DivisionAn introductory course focusing on construction materials and methods for basic commercial and residential projects. Students will develop essential skills in quantity estimating, construction plan reading, and project documentation. Students will participate in hands-on lab exercises that aim to connect theory with practice. The course includes OSHA 10-hour instruction, further emphasizing the importance of safety in construction practices.
Learning Outcomes1Identify materials, means, and methods for a construction project throughout the entire project lifecycle.
2Recognize project controls required during the pre-construction and construction phases of a construction project.
3Explain project planning tasks relevant to a construction project.
