Fall 2026 Lecture Lower DivisionThis course provides an introduction to the fundamentals and applications of data science using Python. Students will explore essential data science topics, while developing proficiency in Python. Core topics include basic statistical methods and introductory machine learning. The course aims to equip students with the skills necessary to tackle data science problems using Python.
Learning Outcomes1Understand regular expressions in data processing [1, 2].
2Apply statistical and machine learning methods to write data analyses in Python [1, 2, 6].
3Explain when particular data analyses are appropriate [1, 2, 3, 6].
4Explain the results of data analyses [2, 3, 5].
