Fall 2026 Lecture Upper DivisionThis course introduces the tools and strategies that human resource professionals use to manage people and make evidence-based decisions in a data-rich, AI-enabled workplace. Students will examine the role of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) in supporting communication, compliance, and organizational change, while also learning how people analytics and artificial intelligence are transforming recruitment, performance management, training, and talent development. Hands-on experience will include using data visualization and analysis to interpret workforce information and explore enterprise-level HR processes. Through applied projects and case studies, students will gain practical skills in leveraging HR technologies, analyzing workforce data, and evaluating the ethical and strategic implications of AI in HR decision-making.
