Fall 2026 Lecture Upper DivisionThis course introduces job analysis techniques and demonstrates procedures for analyzing job-specific tasks. Topics include approaches to collecting and analyzing occupational data, applications of job analysis to HR practices, its relevance to individual and organizational performance, legal considerations, and the growing use of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in job analysis.
Learning Outcomes1Explain the role of job analysis in organizational performance.
2Collect, analyze, and interpret job data using multiple sources, including O*NET and other occupational information systems.
3Apply job analysis results to inform HR functions such as training, performance management, and job design.
4Evaluate legal and compliance considerations in job analysis and produce a professional job analysis report.
