Students will perform a variety of fabrication, testing, and repair tasks using specialized composite fibers, matrices, and core materials.
Learning Outcomes1Become proficient with CAD/CAM design in Catia, applicable to the manufacture of metal parts and composite tooling.
2Demonstrate understanding of CNC machining fundamentals through assignments, exams, and laboratory projects.
3Complete laboratory projects requiring operation of CNC machines, waterjet, a composite ply cutter, and an autoclave.
