Students focus on identification, biology, and management of pests of agricultural crops, identification of natural enemies, and application of scientific method to applied insect biology.
Learning Outcomes1Identify pest insects associated with agricultural crops and understand their biology and management.
2Identify natural enemies of pest species associated with agricultural corps and explain how they can be used in pest management.
3Participate in the design, implementation, analysis, summary and critique of a semester-long group research project or experiment in applied insect biology.
