Fall 2026 Lecture Upper DivisionThis course explores contemporary issues in education by examining classrooms as part of broader social, cultural, historical, and institutional contexts. Through case studies, narrative nonfiction, and research-based analyses, students explore how teaching and learning are shaped by institutional structures, policy environments, community settings, and evolving student needs. Students examine learning, instruction, and educational support in alternative contexts through a semester long field experience.
