Fall 2026 Distance LearningThis course was developed to strengthen students' competencies in AI and Generative AI from a measurement perspective. Given that personalized measurement is a critical component of AI applications in education, the course provides a foundational framework for the AI certificate program that the College of Education intends to launch. The core learning materials for this course, including readings are current and drawn from reputable textbooks and high-impact academic journals. Assessments challenge students to critically evaluate scholarly articles and multimedia resources, such as educational presentations on YouTube. In addition, students will explore the impact of Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) on teaching and learning and assess the design and logic behind CAT item selection algorithms.
