The course is intended for senior undergraduate students and incoming graduate students with a sufficient background in biochemistry, physics, plant anatomy, and cell biology.
Learning Outcomes1Explain the mechanisms by which plants assimilate carbon, water, and ions into the plant body.
2Discuss how plants acclimate to changes in abiotic and biotic factors.
3Analyze literature on plant responses to environmental stress.
4Present and critique research findings effectively.
