Fall 2026 Lecture Upper DivisionVariable TitleVariable topic course that examines conflict, competition, and cooperation in global politics and international relations. Students examine the historical background of the topic and apply current political science theories to understand the institutions, participants, and outcomes. Course may be repeated for a maximum of 9 credit hours.
Learning Outcomes1Identify and explain the major theories related to the course topic covered in this course.
2Explain the emergence of the modern global system of nation-states and the position of non-state actors within the topic area of the course.
