Spring 2026 Lecture Upper DivisionVariable TitleThis course instructs students in current methods of conducting research on computer graphics and the content development process. Topics covered in the course include biofeedback, user experience, measurement and analysis, development pipelines, publication strategies and methodologies. LaTeX document preparation, simulation, and qualitative approaches to conducting research in the field of computer graphics.
Learning Outcomes1Conduct a thorough literature review of a chosen topic related to computer graphics and/or the content development process.
2Present to the class an analysis of an academic paper or set of papers.
3Conduct a sound, logical study in the area of computer graphics.
4Prepare a human subjects research application (IRB) that meets all regulatory regulations required to conduct ethical human research.
5Conduct a research study.
6Analyze the results of a completed research study.
7Write a complete publishable manuscript using the LaTeX scripting language.
