This course is an overview and introduction to the field of tech diplomacy in international affairs and foreign policy. It explores the risks and opportunities of emerging technology in international relations and potential strategies in governance, foreign policy, and diplomacy to address them.
Learning Outcomes1Define and summarize the key features of tech diplomacy, including its principles and goals.
2Explain the relationships between technology, globalization, international relations, and foreign policy.
3Analyze new and ongoing challenges in international affairs posed by emerging technology and draw conclusions about how tech diplomacy approaches might address such challenges.
