Spring 2026 Distance Learning Lecture Laboratory Lower DivisionThis course prepares future Integrated Virtual Construction Managers (IVCM) with essential skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for architectural design and marketing. Students will learn to create detailed, accurate 3D models and immersive visualizations that enhance construction workflows and serve as powerful marketing tools. By integrating BIM with project management, students will gain the technical and creative skills needed to transform complex construction data into persuasive visual content for clients and stakeholders.
Learning Outcomes1Create accurate and detailed architectural Building Information Models, integrating design intent and construction data, while coordinating with other disciplines.
2Demonstrate proficiency in creating high-quality visualizations, including renderings, animations, and walkthroughs, to develop professional presentations that clearly and persuasively communicate design concepts, project details, and potential construction impacts to stakeholders and clients.
3Incorporate project management data, such as material quantities, cost estimates, and timelines, into models, preparing students for decision-making roles in construction management.
4Develop the ability to manage BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, version control, and alignment with evolving project objectives, while preparing professional-grade presentations tailored to client needs.
