Spring 2026 Distance Learning Upper DivisionThis course applies research-data lifecycle ethical-management principles to students' current undergraduate research experiences. The course entails proper research-data planning, collection, description, organization, management, visualization, preservation, communication, and ethical use. Students will learn to produce research data that can be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (Data FAIR principles).
Learning Outcomes1Apply data lifecycle-management principles to use, organize, describe, and manage their research data.
2Apply best practices and generate data visualizations to ensure key points are clear to their target audience.
3Recognize and implement ethical practices of research-data lifecycle management.
