Fall 2025 Laboratory Lecture Lower DivisionThis course will introduce students to concepts related to normal, healthy, large animal patients. This course includes both lecture and laboratory components.
Learning Outcomes1Describe and apply common methods of restraint used for large animals.
2Take a detailed patient history and perform a thorough physical exam.
3Discuss well-patient care with clients, including vaccinations that are recommended for large animal species.
4Collect diagnostic samples from large animals.
5Administer medications via common routes to large animals.
6Identify common breeds of horses, cattle, swine, goats and sheep.
