The goals of this course are to (1) introduce and provide professional development resources, practices, and current trends in the areas of research, learning, and engagement, and (2) empower graduate students to pursue an academic career by developing a continuous growth mindset. Open to PhD students. No pre-requisite.

1Explain the expectations for university faculty in research, learning, and engagement.

2Create a career plan for the first five years as a university faculty.

3List the resources and skills needed for a successful academic career in the long term.
