Fall 2025 Lecture Upper Division
Professional preparation of a presentation related to the student's undergraduate research experience (BTNY 49800). Students will prepare a presentation to summarize their work and present at an academic research event. Other subjects covered: graduate school and/or career preparation, resume production/refinement, interpreting scientific data, public presenting. Students must have completed BTNY 49800 prior to registering for BTNY 49700.
Learning Outcomes1Define and explain the scientific method as it applies to the student's individual research project.
2Synthesize their undergraduate research project in the form of a scientific poster.
3Master communication skills for engaging a broad audience on scientific principles related to the student's unique research.
