Revenue management is a vital strategic tool enabling decision-makers to coordinate various functions leading to company-wide profit maximization. This course empowers students with analytical tools to generate optimal revenue solutions in a competitive marketplace. In the course, students learn economics of pricing and market competition, models and algorithms for capacity allocation, overbooking, and forecasting through a variety of real-world contexts.

Learning Outcomes

1Solve for optimal prices given capacity constraints and market segmentation.

2Calculate optimal protection and overbooking levels.

3Forecast demand based on time series models and advanced booking models.

4Formulate strategies to manage consumer responses to revenue management practices across various service industries.
