Interpreting, analyzing, and making decisions based on financial data are core management competencies critical for business success. This course is designed to enable students to interpret and analyze financial data within dynamic and fast-paced service industries. This course focuses on the application of accounting principles, financial tools, and decision-making strategies in service industries.

Learning Outcomes

1Describe the financial statements and relationships between key accounting line items.

2Utilize financial analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a service business.

3Apply various cost behaviors to make pricing decisions.

4Utilize the relationships between cost, volume, and profit to make pricing and budgeting decisions.
