Spring 2025 Lecture Upper DivisionThe purpose of this course it to provide a basic understanding of program evaluation processes, concepts, and theories and to develop expertise needed to design and conduct systematic evaluation of formal and non-formal programs.
Learning Outcomes1Acquire basic knowledge and skills in program evaluation.
2Understand key components of various evaluation models/frameworks and identify their strengths and weaknesses.
3Apply evaluation knowledge and skills to plan, implement, and evaluate a program.
4Develop knowledge and skills, (including writing skills) to critically evaluate a published evaluation study.
5Understand the various phases of evaluation from beginning to end, including evaluation utilization of evaluation results.
6Develop expertise in presenting evaluation results and outcomes to key stakeholders.
