Summer 2023 Distance Learning JEDILower DivisionDiversity can be defined as real or perceived differences among people with regards to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, age, physical and mental ability, and family status that affect an individual's treatment, opportunities and outcomes. As demonstrated in the workplace, diversity is the numerous ways that employees are viewed as being similar or different. Through this course, students will examine the historical context and the emergence of diversity in the workplace including bias, meritocracy, privilege, social identity frameworks, organizational culture, allyship and advocacy.
