This course covers specialized and advanced content in digital forensics discipline. The focus of the course is on advancing and expanding the knowledge of the students regarding digital forensics investigation process particularly on emerging and contemporary technologies. Application of best practices in cyberforensics are emphasized in this course.

Learning Outcomes

1Identify components and sources of digital evidence in emerging technologies.

2Apply digital forensics best practices to preserve, acquire, examine, analyze, and report digital evidence.

3Correlating digital evidence collected from various devices for an investigation.

4Present and communicate the digital forensics process for an investigation.
