Fall 2025 Instructors:

The course will cover a broad range of innovations and technologies involved in the agricultural industry. The broad topics covered in this class will discuss development of latest technologies assisting in increase in yield, production and efficiency of agricultural systems. This may include, but is not limited to topics regarding environmental protection, plant production, livestock systems, and agricultural machinery.

Learning Outcomes

1Demonstrate an understanding of technological advancements in areas of: a). Environmental protection; b). Plant production; c). Livestock systems; d). Agricultural machinery.

2Demonstrate an understanding of innovation processes and commercial development.

3Communicate an understanding of several agricultural systems.

4Explain some history of agricultural developments.

5Appreciate the land grant system and recall specific examples of Purdue impact on global agriculture.

6Improve ability to critically evaluate sources of information.
