Through frequent writing assignments, close readings of personal accounts, and daily class discussions, students will gain insights into how culture, economics, history and politics intersect to influence human behavior and worldviews. Case studies and examples will be drawn from the United States, China, and Taiwan. Finally, we will apply what we have learned to the practice of global cultural dexterity.
