Summer 2025 Instructors:

Students learn the basics of audio production as it relates to game development. Students edit and create audio effects using off-the-shelf tools and implement these sounds in a game engine. Microphones, digital audio workstations, and sound effect libraries are utilized in a framework that focuses on direct implementation into interactive media.

Learning Outcomes

1Analyze existing audio library sounds effects and edit them according to a project's requirements.

2Identify game audio scripting techniques and translate these into their own work.

3Analyze and explain the theory of implementing music into games and interactive media.

4Develop techniques for using software and equipment for the creation of game audio effects.

5Implement audio effects and music into a commercial game engine.
