Sophisticated field and laboratory instrumentation and techniques, sampling methodology for organic vapors, dust, fibers, noise, and heat; calibration and validation techniques; emphasis on critical analysis of data.
Learning Outcomes1Explain the rationale of the sampling strategy.
2Perform basic sampling procedures for certain gases, vapors, particulates, noise, and heat, including proper selection, set-up, and operation of equipment.
3Summarize the basic principles of the sampling procedures and explain why they function as they do.
4Describe the limitations of sampling and analysis in real-world situations and how to deal with them.
5Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize laboratory data into a well-written report.
6Describe the advantages as well as the difficulties of working together on a team.
