Summer 2023 Distance Learning Upper DivisionCritical review of research and practice in language proficiency and content-area assessment of culturally and linguistically diverse students in K-12 education, and the sociocultural dimensions of standardized testing, academic achievement, and accountability. Critical analysis of standardized language proficiency and literacy tests. Development of authentic alternative language, literacy and content-area assessments. Prerequisites: Background in K-12 education.
