Spring 2026 Lecture Distance Learning Upper DivisionIntroduction to, and overview of, the field of digital control. Prior knowledge of continuous control techniques is assumed. Topics include mathematical background from residue theory through integral transforms; sampled data systems, including A/D, D/A, and hold properties, aliasing, and Z transforms. Digital control design via continuous, discrete, and state space design techniques. Implementation considerations, including nonlinear effects. Mechanical engineering examples.
Course ME 578 from Purdue University - West Lafayette.
