This course reviews a number of fundamental topics related to the structural design of highway bridges. Some of the key features include bridge types, aesthetics, structural analysis methods, vehicle load distribution, deck design and detailing, steel girder design, concrete girder design, integral abutment design, bearings, and construction. Concurrent prerequisites: CE 57200 and CE 59100.
