Fall 2026 Instructors:
An intensive examination of the nature of human aggression. Among the topics covered will be (1) theoretical perspectives concerning such behavior; (2) social conditions that encourage its performance; and (3) means for its prevention and control.
Learning Outcomes1Demonstrate an understanding of the historical, cultural, and interpersonal contexts of violence and aggression.
2Compare and contrast major historical and contemporary theoretical perspectives on violence perpetration and victimization.
3Demonstrate an understanding of the scientific bases of the etiology, assessment, prevention, and treatment of different forms of violence and aggression.
