Spring 2026 Lecture Upper DivisionThis course applies information from NUR 50200 to the care of clients through the use of case studies. Emphasis is placed on incorporating information from pharmacology, physiology, and physical assessment.
Learning Outcomes1Discuss appropriate evidence-based drug management regimens and alternatives for common disorders in the primary care of adolescents, adults and older adults.
2Identify criteria for initiating and monitoring drug therapies with consideration to age, cost, gender, race, concurrent illnesses, potential adverse effects, and current research.
3Describe client education approaches to drug therapies commonly used in the primary care of adolescents, adults and older adults.
4Incorporate legal and ethical concepts in planning pharmacologic management for adolescents, adults and older adults.
5Identify appropriate resources in the delivery of pharmacologic regimens.
