This course provides a means of independent study of a special problem under the guidance of a graduate faculty member who holds a terminal degree. It is assumed that projects in this course are research projects independent of one's doctoral research. Although not required, it is likely that a major result of the course will be a conference or journal publication. This course does not substitute for dissertation research credit on the plan of study. Permission of instructor required.
