Special characteristics of services require an interdisciplinary approach to analyzing operations. This course draws upon concepts from accounting, management science, and marketing. Differences and similarities between the service and manufacturing organizations are analyzed. Case studies of service organizations are used extensively. Prerequisite: MGMT 66000 (if Graduate student status) or else MGMT 36100 (if Undergraduate student status).
