Spring 2026 Lecture Upper DivisionThe course seeks to introduce students to the different phases of PM from conception to termination with particular emphasis on quantitative tools for planning, scheduling, resource allocation, monitoring, and control. During the course, students get the opportunity to apply new knowledge for a real project. Students will learn how to manage project schedules and recourse, to create reports and dashboards, and to track progress and monitor a project using MS Project and MS Excel.
Learning Outcomes1Provide in-depth exposure to the use of project management tools and philosophies.
2Demonstrate a realistic experience using these tools to plan and control a project.
3Know basic steps in project planning: work breakdown, scheduling, resource allocation, information systems, and control.
