Spring 2026 Lecture Lower DivisionCourse prepares students for teaching history in powerful, exciting and innovative ways through a topical study (e.g., American Civil Rights Movement) approach. Required for all Social Studies Education majors.
Learning Outcomes1Develop knowledge of appropriate state and national history standards.
2Use research and theory about how grades 5-12 students learn history.
3Merge historical content and processes with pedagogy to forge pedagogical content knowledge.
