Today's workforce is composed of employees with a variety of individual differences, including race, gender, LGBTQ+, culture, national origin, mental and physical disabilities and age. This course will use the knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion and ethical responsibilities to develop effective leadership.

Learning Outcomes

1Define managing diversity, valuing diversity and affirmative action.

2Compare American cultural values with non-American cultural values.

3Describe the major diversity issues, including inclusion, equity and ethical responsibilities, encountered in the workplace.

4Explain how federal anti-discrimination laws affect the management of diversity and ethical responsibilities.

5Describe how leaders can effectively manage diversity, inclusion, equity and ethical responsibilities.

6List the major components of a diversity/inclusion program.
