Study of how language and media create belief and change. Examines ancient and contemporary rhetorical theory as it applies to public discourse, media, and technology.
Learning Outcomes1Demonstrate knowledge of a range rhetorical techniques and practices in the public realm, past and/or present.
2Discuss those techniques and practices in relation to their diverse historical, cultural, and technological contexts.
