Fall 2026 Lecture
A study of mass-production materials and processes used by designers. Students will focus on the limitations and benefits of various manufacturing methods. Special attention will be given to injection molding, casting, and stamping. Prerequisite: Admission to the M.F.A. program in Art and Design.

2Develop socially responsible design concepts that address critical social challenges by applying Green and Universal Design principles, grounded in research insights.
3Demonstrate advanced proficiency in key design processes to generate innovative solutions to social issues.
4Assess design solutions from an ethical and social perspective critically, employing participant observation and other research methodologies to ensure alignment with societal needs and values.
