This course is designed to explore methods and concepts for creating photographs using alternative and historic processes. Through technical workshops and assigned projects students will become well-versed in medium and large format film cameras, as well as various 19th century processes.

3Understand visual language and aesthetics of early photographic processes and printing methods.
