Spring 2025 Instructors:

Introductory course in understanding electronic strobe lighting. Begins with a review of basic lighting principles and a series of problem-solving assignments, which introduce control, and applications of electronic strobe lighting. Still life photography and portraiture are emphasized and covers on-location lighting.

Learning Outcomes

1Gain an understanding of the basic principles of light and how to use those principles to light photographic subject matter.

2Gain a basic understanding of the function of photographic lighting equipment.

3Compile a portfolio of images that demonstrate a skill set learned regarding product and portrait and simple space lighting.
