An overview of clinical approach to common medical and surgical diseases of nontraditional pets. Focuses on diagnosis and treatment of common diseases encountered in small animal clinical practice.

Learning Outcomes

1Develop an understanding of problem-solving approaches to medical and surgical problems in exotic pets.

2Develop an understanding of common husbandry and nutritional needs of various exotic pets.

3Develop an integrated knowledge base of common medical and surgical diseases.

4Problem-solve using an integrated understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pathophysiology, clinical pathology, pharmacology, parasitology, bacteriology, virology, immunology, diagnostic imaging, and physical diagnostic techniques.
