Provides a foundation for the application of practice management principles. Focuses on operations management, financial management, human resource management, and marketing management.

Learning Outcomes

1Improve communication skills - clients, staff, public speaking, listening, team building.

2Gain financial skills - personal (financial awareness, educational debt management) and business (cost controls, compensation).

3Increase career skills - interviewing, resume development, job search, jurisprudence of the profession.

4Gain business skills - value management, marketing techniques, human resources, inventory.

5Develop risk management skills - establishing policies/practices consistent with medical laws, practice best practices to ensure patient safety (i.e., appropriate medication calculations/dosing and administration).
