Spring 2026 Lecture Variable TitleA workshop on how to communicate research results in a seminar setting. Students present at least once during the course and will be present for other students' presentations. Students may present their own research, or a paper from a recent journal also is acceptable. The course is open to master's students, and one credit of this course is required of doctoral students.
Learning Outcomes1Identify gaps in knowledge and appropriate research problems.
2Frame an economics research question/topic.
3Understand ethical conduct of social science research.
4Understand the regulatory environment for social science research.
5Create and communicate one clear and concise research proposal that will serve as the foundation of the prospectus.
