Selection of research problems involving political phenomena; formulation of concepts and hypotheses; research design; data collection techniques; data processing, analysis, and interpretation, with attention to uses of high-speed facilities. Students will design a research project and, as appropriate, carry out the project in the laboratory or in the field. Prerequisite: POL 50100.
