This course offers a practical exploration of Industrial Internet of Things (IToT) in converged information and operations technology (IT/OT) industrial automation systems. Course topics include IT and OT reference architectures, industrial network convergence, standards, and security practices in the context of Edge, hybrid, and the Cloud-based industrial applications. Specific focus is given to integrating and securing networked industrial devices with local and cloud-based IT systems in greenfield and brownfield scenarios.

Learning Outcomes

1Apply industry standards to develop a basic industrial network for converged IT/OT smart manufacturing systems.

2Implement batch and real-time computation and basic machine learning models in an automated system.
