Study of the fundamental concepts for epidemiologic implications in livestock production, including design of epidemiologic studies in livestock populations, investigation of disease outbreaks, use of diagnostic tests, infectious disease control, and animal health economics. Rationale, strategies, and concepts of animal disease control are emphasized with examples. Typically offered Fall Summer.
