Continuation of Physiology of Domestic Animals I (BMS 81100). Survey of the principles, concepts and mechanisms of physiological processes with special emphasis on interactions between large populations of cells, tissues, organ systems and integrated functions of domestic animals of importance to veterinary medicine. The organ systems covered are respiratory, renal, digestive, endocrine, and reproductive.

Learning Outcomes

1Regulation of functions of the lungs, kidneys, stomach, digestive system, endocrine glands & gonads.

2Processes and regulation of gas exchange in the lungs.

3Roles of electrolytes and the regulation of acid-base.

4Regulation of physiological & biochemical processes in stomach, small and large intestines.

5Hormonal regulation of metabolic processes.

6Regulation of reproduction.
