Fall 2025 Instructors:

This is one of the two methods courses required for World Language Teaching major. While LC 47500 is a theoretical course, this course is a practical course on world language teaching in secondary school.

Learning Outcomes

1Design lesson plans that draw on knowledge of content areas.

2Write language learning assessment documents (diagnostic formative, and summative).

3Design language assessment rubrics.

4Evaluate their own and others' teaching effectiveness.

5Plan lessons that incorporate strategies to monitor student learning.

6Build collaborative relationships with other language teaching professionals.

7Identify resources for the developing foreign language teaching, including textbooks, scholarly journals, pedagogy associations and conferences.
